Awareness campaigns are stupid. If people really want to make a difference they should get out and do something instead of making a facebook posting about it.
Maybe I should make an awareness group about stupidity of awareness groups.
... oh, wait.
In all seriousness, I complain about these campaigns because I think our time is too precious. When there's so much work to be done for God and His world, right there in front of me, I don't have time to dwell on a specific misfortune caused by the Fall--be it breast cancer, gays, or suicidal teenage girls. There lies an infinitude of fallenness and brokenness in this world to be talked about, and we could spend the rest of our lives conversing about them--precisely what the Devil wanted.
But maybe I should have planted a flower or something instead of writing this post.
